Morgan Trussardi, "Little Gypsy", partnered with Coextinction and assembled a team of European influencers to travel to San Juan Island. There, she lead the "#WeAreTheOrca campaign", raising global awareness and tens of thousands in donations.

Brando Yelavich, "Wildboy", travelled from New Zealand to meet with Coextinction during production. He and his partner then set on a 67 day expedition to circumnavigate Vancouver Island. His journey inspires us to discover a deeper connection with nature and the Salish Sea.

PARTNERS

David Suzuki Foundation's Salish Sea Initiative is dedicated to growing a community of support for the Southern Resident Killer Whales. @SalishSeaOrcas will be cross-promoting our work and helping us reach our goal to create a massive social movement to protect the Salish Sea's most iconic mammal.

Sea Shepherd uses innovative direct-action tactics to investigate, document, and take action when necessary to expose and confront illegal activities on the high seas. By safeguarding the biodiversity of our delicately-balanced ocean ecosystems, Sea Shepherd works to ensure their survival for future generations. We are joining Sea Shepherd's Salmon Defense campaign this summer in British Columbia.

PNW Protectors are working to make changes on an individual level, through voting, life choices, awareness on the issues at hand. Lovers of the Pacific NorthWest, they focus on how you can make a difference. We will discover the underwater beauty of the Salish Sea beauty with them this August.

Influencer and marine biologist Brinkley Davies, and her foundation the Balu Blue will be joining the movement all the way from Australia to help protect the Southern Resident Killer Whales. Balu Blue Foundation was founded with a vision to be a part of the environmental awareness movement, and to inspire others to live with light footprint on this planet.

4Ocean offers bracelets made from recycled materials. Every bracelet purchased funds the removal of one pound of trash from the ocean and coastlines. They are on a mission, just like us! We are working together to build awareness and run global campaigns to stop coextinction.

One Species is community and apparel fighting extinction, one species at a time. One Species’ first species focus was the Southern Resident Killer Whale. As our partners, they are helping us build a wildlife community dedicated to saving the endangered Southern Resident orcas and inspired to take action.

Yoga For Nature is a registered charity advocating for the environment, human and animal rights. They believe that your yoga practice can change the world. Yoga For Nature classes or donations support organizations and causes worldwide.

Ink & Water Tattoo ran a global campaign with Coextinction to raise funds - with tattoos! They hosted a "tattoo charity month" where $5 from each CoextinctionXInk&Water tattoo when to support the film series.

Houdini Sportswear is a Swedish outdoor company who helps people experience more, perform better and have more fun, all without leaving any impact on the environment. They provided Coextinction with rain jackets for our production. Thanks to them, we stayed warm while filming all over the West Coast of North America.

While Brando is an expert at kayaking, we certainly weren’t. PaddleWest Kayaking gave us all the kayaking gear we needed to join Brando on his expedition. Ryan Rogers, the owner, also joined us as guide and share stories of the West Coast.

Thanks to Let’s Go Sailing Seattle we were able to get unique shots of the Salish Sea without using motor boats! They goal is to make people experience the beauty of the Salish Sea with the least environmental impact possible.

While filming, the Shoreline Tofino hosted us in their beautiful A-Frame House, a big rustic house by the water where our entire team felt right at home. Thanks to their support, we were able to film part of Brando’s expedition around Vancouver Island.

Coextinction is part of Tofino Towel’s 1% model. They are donating 1% of their product to Coextinction to include in our fundraisers and community-building activities. Their goal is to inspire you to connect with nature, much like us!

Four Winds B&B, a cozy home by the water where the southern residents often pass by, hosted us on Saturna Island.

Aputure is a cinema tech company that designs and manufacturers high-end lighting solutions and filmmaking equipment for digital creators. They are sponsoring us with LED panels.

Gnarbox allows you to backup, edit and share footage from any camera (from GoPro’s and DSLR’s). Gnarbox is providing us with waterproof back up drives. They will also cross-promote our work.
