Your ripples become waves. This mission
needs your voice - your voice matters.
WE KNEW SOMETHING
HAD TO BE DONE, AND SOON
In the Summer of 2017, a shared interest in the ocean brought us to a small island off the coast of British Columbia. Both of us went to learn about a local, endangered killer whale species. And it was there that this mission was born.
We decided that if we didn't do something soon, the Southern Resident Killer Whales might disappear forever. So, we embarked on a journey to create a documentary series that would bring global attention to their extinction and to the global extinction crisis at large.
WHAT WE DISCOVERED
MOVED US DEEPLY...
This series isn't just about endangered killer whales. It's about a celebrated ecosystem on the verge of collapse, a planet facing a mass extinction, and the people coming together to fight for conservation.
It's our responsibility to create change. Today, people globally are coming together to protect the orca, Salish Sea and planet.
Join this journey and a community of inspiring humans protecting what they love.
All life is interconnected
"We Are The Orca" means that it's not just the Southern Resident Killer Whales we're losing - it's an entire ecosystem, it's the salmon, and it's ourselves.
